Longtime SPB Manager Mike See has relinquished his Las Vegas Thunder franchise to concentrate on running SPB-60 and SPB2. Stepping into fill the void is a former SPB manager, Craig Korol. Craig will be renaming the team to the Wichita Wind Surge, and will remain in the Metrodome. Welcome aboard again Craig!
Based on the two stadium swaps, the open parks are now The Astrodome, Busch Stadium, Oakland Coliseum, and Olympic Stadium.
Managers Dave Lauer and Rich Applegate have decided to step aside, and are leaving SPB-1. I thank them both for the many years they have committed to the league. We have two past SPB managers stepping back into the fold. Replacing Dave will be Greg Nolen, who will rename his team to the Carolina Bandits. Greg will be abandoning the Astrodome, and moving into Dodger Stadium. Replacing Rich will be Vin Onstott, who will be renaming the team to Le Rouge. He is also abandoning Busch Stadium and will be moving into Jack Murphy Stadium.
Congratulations to Steve Lehman and the Bloomington Hoosiers for taking back the crown from the Mountaineers, who have met for the past three SPB-1 World Series.

Congratulations to Steve Brunner and his Blue Ridge Mountaineers for capturing the 1985 World Series crowns! It was not an easy path, as he went though the division winning Scotties, then the 2-best 100-win teams in the Mets and Hoosiers to take home the crown. Complete boxscores and writeups are in the Playoff section. Congrats!
