All SPB 1932 Managers, Attached to this message you will find the very first pre season SPB 1932 files for the coming season. They include all rosters, to date, including the 2 trades that have been made so far. It also gives you your first look at the rookies for the '32 season. As usual the rooks can be found under the agents list. These will be posted soon by our webmaster John Turnbull to the web page. This league in particular has always been the toughest one for our SPB managers to fill the needed at bats and pitching starts and relief appearances. The reason for this is that there were fewer players used on the real life rosters in this era than there are in our other SPB Leagues, playing with the more recent seasons. For this reason, I am lowering the standards for inclusion into the rookie draft. For batters, any players with more than 20 at bats are included, and for pitchers, any with over 17 IP have been added. This may not help much (it only adds 7 players this year; 4 batters and 3 pitchers), but it may get another team, or 2, within their expected at bats, starts, and reliefs. My reasoning behind this move is in recalling when SPB 70 started, we lowered the standards at first to help stock the teams, and it seemed to work pretty well in getting roster needs accomplished. But in '70, we dropped this proceedure after a couple of drafts, when all rosters seemed to be past the critical stage. Even though this only adds 7 players for '32, it is the accumulation in the future (of getting 6-12 extra players into SPB-III) that should help with this probelm over a few more drafts. Hopefully with a few more drafts in SPB-III this will prove to be a helpful answer to the problem of covering your teams needs. Anyway, enjoy looking at these rosters and new players for the first time. Thanks for your patience! Best, Gary
