LAS VEGAS, NV -  Pitchers Nick Altrock and Howie Camnitz (pictured left) both faced the hot hitting St. Louis Perfectos this season and both came away with No Hitters against them.  Camnitz's came on July 12, and it took him 10 innings to accomplish the feat, as the Whiskey beat St. Louis 1-0.  Altrock's no-hitter came on August 10, and this time the Perfectos were whitewashed 6-0 by Altrock's Colonials.  For full box scores of these two incredible performances, see the Superlative Box Scores link on the left navigation bar.

SPB-100 1907 Drafts Completed.
LAS VEGAS, NV -   For the second year running, the SPB-100 Draft saw the top pick trade hands just minutes before the draft was scheduled to begin.  The St. Louis Perfectos traded the top pick to the Coal City Blue Flames for the Flames #1 (Ed Konotchy) and "Big" Ed Walsh.  Their was little surprise that the Flames selected starting pitcher Walter Johnson with the top selection.  The remainder of the draft saw a few more big names, but the talent evaporated quickly, resulting in a long, grueling draft that last over 8 rounds.  Now that the drafts are completed, trading is re-opened.  We should have the database in your hands at some point in November, hopefully before Thanksgiving.

Minor Rule Changes for upcoming 1907 Season.
LAS VEGAS, NV -  Upon reviewing the statistics from the upcoming 1907 season, the rules committee has decided to implement several rule changes that will be effective for the upcoming 1907 season, probably through about 1910.

The years 1906-1910 saw the lowest offensive totals of the century, though an explosion occurs in 1911 and beyond. Because of this, and some of the struggles with at bats that occurred last season, the following changes are being made.  Click here to review changes.

Notes on the 1907 Database and Rookie Draft.
LAS VEGAS, NV -   Due to reasons beyond our control, the 1907 Database will not be ready prior to the Phase I and Phase II Drafts on Saturday.  In an effort to make sure our managers have all of the information they need, we have prepared some databases for you that include the following.  All of these are included under the "Draft Central" link on the left side of this page.

The first is the "Official" Phase I Draft List (click Phase I Rookies - 1907).  This is the one and only list we will be using for Saturday's draft.  Note there is one tab for batters, and one for pitchers.  This includes all 1907 stats and eligible positions.

Second, the "Official" Phase II Draft list (click Phase 2 Cuts - 1907).  This is broken down by batters, pitchers and uncarded players.  Rememeber, each team may only select (2) two players per team and can lose up to (5) players.

Third, is a breakdown of all each teams roster (Click 1907 Rosters on the left)  This also includes all 1907 stats and eligible positions and is broken down by team.  This should help you to better estimate your teams needs going into the draft since we do not have a database yet.

IA big thanks to Lynn Miller for his help.  This has been an all day process for us, but since we probably will not have a database, we want to make sure that everyone has the info they need for the draft.  Again, The 1907 Rookie Draft will be on Saturday October 21st beginning promptly at 11am EST (8am PST). Myself and John Ungashick will act as draft central here in Las Vegas.

Team Name Change.
LAS VEGAS, NV - Greg Stillwagon has decided to keep to name "Whiskey" for the team he took over from Larry Schilling at the end of the 1906 season.  Partly to honor Larry's memory, but also, in Greg's words, "During prohibition more illegal hootch came through the Detroit than any other place in the nation."  The team will now be known as the Canadian Club Whiskey.  The team will also keep their home in the Baker Bowl.
