Below is the report for overusage for the 1911 season. Not our best performance, but, for those who suffered heavier overusage, take solace in know that with the new usage penalties established last season, no team suffered more than a 3 position drop in Round 1 due to penalties, and only 3 teams were moved to the end of the Random Round 3, which is the only other penalty now that the permanent penalty has been abolished. First off as always, hats off to the following managers for not having any overuse problems during the 1911 season: Broadway Bombers (Mike See) Chicago Rail (Terry Baxter) Northwestern Wildcats (John Ungashick) Pittsburgh Pisces (Steve Lehman) St. Louis Perfectos (Rich Applegate) Worcester Mutuals (Hugh McElaney) Toledo Maumees (Chris Williams) Well done gentleman! Here is the report of overused players for less than 10 games: New York Giants (Joe Dezarlo) 1 Game Terry Turner 9 AB (1) Shueyville Sharks (Jerry Cada) 3 Games Ira Thomas 9 AB (1) Shano Collins 14 AB (2) Carrabelle Barnstormers (Vin Onstott) 4 Games Jim Delehanty 17 AB (3) Felix Chouinard 10 AB (1)* Valley View Patriots (Peter Reoch) 7 Games Art Devlin 23 AB (4) Pat Paige 5 ST (2.5)* Not too shabby guys…… Lastly, here are the teams that exceed 10 games of overusage. This penalty is ONLY applied in RD 1 based on the total number of games, and the teams are moved to the bottom of the Random Round 3, so while I would hope for some improvement, you are all vets of this league and as I said above, no team lost more than 3 spots off where they would have actually been based on their record in Round 1. Coal City Blue Flames (John Laburda) 19 Games Bill Carrigan 64 AB (12) Patrick Newman 28 AB (2.5)* Rube Oldring 27 AB (5) Brooklyn Cyclones (Don Rahn) 21 Games Germany Schaefer 10 AB (2) Jim Doyle 19 AB (3) Billy Purtell 36 AB (7) Davey Jones 46 AB (9) Canton Moondogs (Tom Kackley) 21 Games Eddie Grant 53 AB (5)* Tony Smith 31 AB (3)* Bill Jones 16 AB (1.5)* Otto McIvor 27 AB (2.5)* Roy Thomas 28 AB (2.5)* Sandy Burke 4 G (2)* Hi West 8 G (4)* with relief pitching in SPB-100 being somewhat tricky on the road, I have accepted Tom Kackley's appeal of the overuse on his two RP that were listed. They have been removed from the overuse list. Their overuse was reduced from 21 to 15 games. It does not have any affect on the draft order. * bonus player - only counts at 50% of actual penalty. This concludes the 1911 Overusage Report
