All SPB II - 1964 Managers, A little late with this report, but it is so minimal that I want to commend all our 1963 managers on a job well done. Only 3 of the 18 managers received overuse penalties, and non were severe. Our best report ever for an SPB league. Congratulations everyone!! There would have been 4 teams with overuse, but due to the resignation of one manager recently, that teams 8 game penalty was forgiven. That team was the Detroit Metro Stars (Vin Onstott). Our best report ever for an SPB league. Congratulations everyone!! First off the usual list of teams and managers that had no overuse at all: East Kenosha Lions (Dave Lauer) Evanston Elephants (John Ungashick) Fairfax Colts (Ron Peterson) Frankfort Fortress (Gary Plunkitt) Hampton Road Cruisers (Terry Baxter) Lafayette Slims (Steve Ehresman/John Dewan) Los Angeles Surfers (Don Zminda) New York Metropolitans (Don Rahn) Portland Beavers (Rich Applegate) Rossville Hornets (Rick Ryan) Route 66 Hot Rods (Mike See) South River Gladiators (Joe DeZarlo) West Warwick Monarchs (Steve Brunner) Winter Harbor Seals (Hugh McElaney) This leaves only 3 other teams that received any overuse penalties for the 1963 season, and two of these were very minimal, and none were enough to give a permanent penalty too. Salzburg Bishops (Chris Williams) 1 Game Eddie Mathews, 6 AB (1) Seattle Totems (Steve Lehman) 1 Game Gino Cimoli , 8 AB (1) Wabash Rivers (Bill Lanke) 7 Games Tommy Harper, 26 AB (5) Gary Bell, 1 Start (2) Again, your all to be commedned. It does not get much better than this. :) I will follow up tomorrow with the 50 % Use or Loose players for 1963, to conclude the annual report. Best, Gary
