SPB-2 Managers, Since there is no Overusage anymore, only the Use or Lose report is being sent out. With all of the changes this year, use or lose ONLY applied to players with over 100 PA’s OR 100 Batters Faced. The intention of the rule is to keep teams from hoarding players, and to make sure that most of the full time players are used appropriately. This was certainly the case in 1972, as we did an excellent job overall. Here are each team that lost players. Only listing players who will return for a future draft: Dayton Dragons Ollie Brown (1973) Jim York (1973) Fairfax Colts Jimmy Stewart (1973) Dave Schneck (1973) LA Angels Rich McKinney (1973) Mike Kilkenny (1973) Ron Perranoski (1973) Juan Pizzaro (1973) Oceanlake Seagulls Andy Etchebarren (1973) Bernie Allen (1973) Jerry Kenny (1973) Clyde Mashore (1973) Route 66 Hot Rods Fred Stanley (1973) Joe Lis (1973) Seattle Totems Ed Brinkman (1973) Roger Freed (1974) Speedway Sparkplugs Chris Cannizarro (1973) Leo Cardenas (1973) That’s it. These players will be available in the Rule V draft for 1973. Thanks, Mike See
