The first list of teams is for the managers who were able to get through the entire year with no penalties at all. Hoosier Thunderbolts (Gary Plunkitt) River City Rugrats (Jerry Cada) Rock Island Arsenal (Terry Baxter) Schaumburg Hawks (John Ungashick) South River Muck Dogs (Joe DeZarlo) Western Panthers (Rick Ryan) Worcester Grays (Hugh McElaney) Odessa Files (John Saunders) The following teams incurred from 3 to 4 games of penalties: Baroda Barons (3) (Mike Galbreath) Don Heffner, 10 AB (2) Taft Wright, 5 AB (1) Elkhart Electric Eels (3) (Lynn Miller) Johnny Hudson, 9 AB (1) Rip Sewell, 2 GMS (2) Kansas City Blues (4) (Rich Applegate) Oris Hockett, 16 AB (3) Dick Midkiff, 1 ST (1)* Maumee River Carp (4) (Chris Williams) Elbie Fletcher, 5 AB (1) Joe Cronin, 15 AB (3) The following two teams incurred heavy overusage and will be accessed a permanent penalty. HOWEVER, since both managers were new to SPB III for 1938, I am willing to waive the total loss of a first round draft pick for this year. Since neither team is probably not remotely a contender, I feel this is fair, and will probably stick with this ruling for all other SPB leagues I am Commisioner of. But this will only be for the first season a new league member plays where he is not a serious contender. After their first season they will be charged the loss of a 1st round pick should they're overusage go that high again. Brooklyn Royal Giants (41.5) (Don Rahn) Harry Danning, 5 AB (1) Bob Garbark, 7 AB (1) Gene Corbett, 33 AB (3)* Sam Leslie, 40 AB (8) Gil English, 72 AB (14) Nolen Richardson, 11 AB (2) Sam Chapman, 37 AB (7) Buddy Hassett, 12 AB (2) Gib Brack, 16 AB (3) Roy Weir, 1 GM (.5)* Pocono Tomahawks (68) (Terry Buchanan) Rudy York, 30 AB (6) Johnnie McCarthy, 19 AB (3) Red Rolfe, 26 AB (5) Bill Rogell, 31 AB (6) Glenn McQuillen, 23 AB (4) Al Simmons, 15 AB (3) Hersh Martin, 10 AB (2) Ernie Koy, 13 AB (2) Bill Posedel, 5 ST (5)* Jim Reninger, 1 ST (1)* Red Barrett, 13 GMS (13) Syl Johnson, 14 GMS (14) Joe Krakauskas, 2 ST (4) * means 1/2 regular penalty accessed due to fact that offending player was a Bonus Player. I corresponded with both the new managers, and I feel they will both get much better at handling their usage in future SPB III seasons.
