All 1947 Managers, Here is the total list of players who were overused. First off, not many were overused, and the few that were were not used but just a little over anyway. Probably the best all around report for overusage in any league. Congratulations to all on a fine job! Teams with no overuse penalty in 1947 (Kudos!): Chicago Stampers (Steve Lehman) Hoosier Thunderbolts (Gary Plunkitt) Indianapolis Clowns (Rick Ryan) Kansas City Blues (Rich Applegate) Maumee River Carp (Chris Williams) River City Rugrats (Jerry Cada) Rock Island Arsenal (Terry Baxter) Schaumburg Hawks (John Ungashick) South River Muckdogs (Joe DeZarlo) The Baltimore Natti Bohs (Jim Scott/Dave Lauer) had a 1 game penalty which was forgiven due to the mid season manager change. It actually was only a 1/2 game penalty for 1B Chuck Kress* who went 6 PA's past his bonus limit. It would have been rounded up to 1 game Here are the other teams, who did an overall excellent job as well, but just lost out on one player. No teams got a permanent penalty. Worcester Grays (Hugh McElaney) 1 Game Joe Lafata* of, 6 PA's (1/2 game, rounded up to 1. Goshen Aces (Steve Brunner) 1 Game Oscar Judd* p, 1 Start (1) Perrysburg Stingers (Mike Murphy) 2 Games Glen Moulder p, 1 Start (2) Brooklyn Royal Giants (Don Rahn) 5 Games Johnny Murphy P, 5 Games Relief * indicates bonus player and 1/2 normal penalty was levied. And that is your report for 1947. Again, I say that it is our best one yet. Best, Gary
