              First ever SPB Newsletter
DAYTON, OH - Back in the summer
of 92, Jim Wheeler and myself first conceived the ideas for
Seasons Past Baseball. Little did we know that 14 years later, it
would become the conglomerate that it is!  I present to you, the
very first SPB newsletter, penned by Commissioner
              Emeritus, Jim Wheeler.

              News on player lists
              DAYTON OH - The second
installment, which you have to remember was all done via snail
mail since the internet wasn't a household item back in 92, was a simple
letter discussing the player lists used for the 54 draft.

              1954 Inaugural Draft results
DAYTON, OH - The first ever
draft was conducted a little differently than our other startup
drafts.  We used orders by position, with catcher being
              first. On the draft
results, which can also be found in the draft
section to your left, the blacked out lines are actually
highlighter marks that I had used for my players, not knowing that
years later they would show up black when scanned. I wrote in my
              picks beside it.

reporting, player limits, 1954 homeruns by ballpark, and the first
